This cycle is the last 'petal' in the 8-year 'rose' pattern made by the orbit of Venus with respect to our planet Earth.  It is also the 12th round of the 13 x 8 year 'greater cycle'.

Venus continues her Morning Star apparition...

1st August  Venus enters the constellation Gemini, inspiring harmonious communications, creative writing, eloquent speech and positive partnerships of all kinds.  The Twins have a mythological relationship to the planet Venus in some traditions.  All black-and-white animals and birds, along with the deities Apollo and Artemis and Mercurial allies may guide this phase of the cycle.  

20 August  Venus, Jupiter and the Moon form a triangle in Gemini, which may be visible in the predawn sky.         

25th August  Venus enters the Scarabaeus constellation, highlighting the watery, nurturing, intuitive side of life, so that we may be drawn to the sea, rivers or lakes. This is a potential period to send love and thanks into the waters and spend some time in healing or restoration if required.  Guides for this period could include the water guardians and the golden, winged scarab of regeneration and immortality.  

11th August  Venus enters the constellation Leo the Lion and should be visible in the morning sky along with the star Sirius.  And on 19 August Venus meets Regulus at the heart of the Lion.  These are good times to thank all our cat relatives, large and small for their teachings and companionship.  

9th October  Venus enters the constellation Virgo where the focus may shift toward homely activities, mending, fixing, crafting and attending to smaller details.  Nutrition and sharing of resources may come to the fore.  This may be a good time to send thanks into the Earth, into the soil and the mineral realms.  A great thanksgiving to the Earth for all her gifts and teachings may be held.  Guides for this phase include all Earth deities such as Gaia, Pachamama, Ceres; and all small mammals and birds.

18 November  Venus enters her natural home in the  constellation Libra, inspiring a time for peace, harmony, music and dancing, creativity and joy.  Guides for this phase may include all air and cloud deities, the birds, butterflies and in the northern hemisphere, thanks to all the insects going into hibernation.
