A special set of alignments and Sphinx mysteries through this equinox light gate...
The September equinox period this year begins on 19th September with a conjunction of the Moon and Venus near the star Regulus at the heart of Leo the Lion. At 13:00 BST the Moon passes in front of the planet Venus, emerging at approximately 14.20 BST so that the three celestial bodies nestle together at the heart of the Lion.
This significant light gate activation of the star Regulus through the planet of love and beauty, Venus and the crescent Moon invites us to engage with this potential for sending our love and light to the earth and the guardians of earth and sky. And to connect with the heart of the Earth with intent to restore our lives to balance, peace, love and goodness.
The Regulus-Venus-Moon alignment takes places at the same time that the sun reaches the 'Sphinx Point' between the constellations Leo and Virgo. There may be much potential for enlightenment regarding the mysteries of the Sphinx at this equinox where the Sun joins the goddess and the lion.
21st September sees the arrival of the New Moon at this 'Sphinx' gateway, with a partial solar eclipse (visible from Anarctia and Oceania).
The mid-point of the equinox occurs on 22nd September at 18.20 UTC, the sun rising due east and setting due west - everywhere on Earth receiving equal amounts of daylight and night-time.
On the approach, during, and after the equinoxes, Earth's magnetic fields tend to 'crackle', accompanied by an increase in colourful displays in the magnetosphere. The earth and sun welcome us into their garden of light and we may feel increased sensitivity at this transitional time. Sending love and light into the waters, into the earth and to all the trees, animals and birds is a good way to navigate these equinoctial blessings.
